Blundstone Canada has continued our support in the fight against food insecurity in Canadian Communities. After our exciting campaign to donate money from online sales, we ended up supporting Community Food Centres Canada with $30,000 in donations back in May 2020. Now we are supporting two exciting campaigns.
We have partnered with The New Farm, CFCC and The Stop to raise funds to feed communities and help provide for those in need across the country. Blundstone Canada has provided 50 pairs of Blundstone boots for The Big Social fundraiser and 10 boots for Golden Tickets for the Together but Apart fundraiser. We’ve also donated $5,000 to The Stop Community Food Centre, which uses fresh food to grow community and feed change in West-end Toronto.
The Big Social is a national fundraising campaign run by Community Food Centres Canada. They are bringing this exciting event back for a second year. From October 9 to 25, thousands of Canadians will connect in-person (with your bubble) and online to share food and raise money in support of healthy food programs for people living on low incomes.
Farms for Change, an event that runs every year, will run a bit differently in 2020. With the theme of Together but Apart, The New Farm brings a new virtual and interactive experience on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Top Chef Canada 2012 Winner, Carl Heinrich and his team at Richmond Station have created a farm-fresh menu with everything you need to cook along with them from the comfort of your home.
While you can no longer purchase tickets for the event, you can still donate to the cause! Last year, Farms for Change raised $150,000 in support of CFCC and with your help, they can do it again! For more information on how to donate, please visit: https://www.gofundme.com/f/farms-for-change-2020
Join us in supporting these great organizations dedicated to making change in our local communities. Blundstone Canada is proud to stand along side them and support their many generous campaigns.
