During tough times it’s important to support each other and the efforts that sustain our communities. That’s why at Blundstone Canada we’d like to give our support. We will be donating $18.70 for every pair of boots purchased on Blundstone.ca in support of the Good Food Access Fund a part of the Community Food Centres Canada, a national not-for-profit organization that works to ensure low-income communities have access to good food.
The CFCC holds a special place in the Blundstone Canada family as we first partnered with them in 2018 for the Chef Bootcamp for Policy and Social Change, a two-day at event at the New Farm in Creemore, Ontario. We were so inspired by Nick Saul, President and CEO of CFCC and the 13 Canadian chefs that participated as they put their minds together to build an understanding of the challenges facing the Canadian food system and their roles in creating change. It was an informative and moving experience. To learn more, visit their website: https://cfccanada.ca/en/Act/Chef-Bootcamp
On March 30, 2020 the CFCC launched a 3-million Good Food Access Fund to provide emergency relief during a time of national crisis. Their goal is to provide for our most vulnerable communities including children, single parents, Indigenous people, seniors, and those on disability supports.
The Fund will ensure that the 183 Good Food organizations and 13 Community Food Centres working on the front lines in 175 communities across Canada can quickly access food and supplies for those who need it most.
Blundstone Canada is proud to support these efforts and help bring food to our surrounding communities. We appreciate all those on the front-lines putting their best foot forward to continue to support those in need.
